🌱 Introducing the Refreshed Cleaner Greener Schools Program! 🌱
We’re excited to launch Cleaner Greener Schools, 1st April 2025, an environmental sustainability accreditation and awards program by Keep Queensland Beautiful! This initiative recognizes and celebrates schools across Queensland that are committed to creating a cleaner, greener future.
Through the Cleaner Greener Schools program, educational institutions can achieve accreditation by implementing sustainable practices in six key focus areas:
♻️ Litter – Reducing and managing waste effectively
🌿 Waste – Promoting responsible waste disposal and reduction
🔄 Recycling – Encouraging reuse and recycling initiatives
💧 Water – Conserving and protecting water resources
⚡ Energy – Enhancing energy efficiency and renewable energy use
🌏 Biodiversity – Supporting and protecting local ecosystems
This program empowers schools to take action, educate students on sustainability, and showcase their commitment to a cleaner environment. Schools can progress from 1-star to 5-star accreditation, reflecting their ongoing efforts and achievements.
